A curved path leads the eye to an arch and a gazebo beyond which are mature trees. The pergola provides an easy transition from house to garden and disguises the whiteness of the extension. The garden is built on a diagonal plane to give the illusion of a larger garden. Strong planting of grasses and hot colours are effectively combined. Trellis disguises the green house and vegetable plot. The transition from paving to the lawn and borders is defined with a pair of mature double Cordylines each side of the garden.
