The brief was to disguise the triangular shape of the garden, mask traffic noise, create reasonable sized lawned areas and design a paved area to sit in the evening sun. The garden was not to be divided into sections, but to retain a sense of unity.

A curved path takes the eye from one side to the other and the lawns sweep across the full width of the garden.

Water falls from a black reflective water canal into a triangular pool. A pebble lined rill follows the sinuous curve of the path which leads to a contemplative space at the end of the garden.
